is an excellent article about why Pittsburgh (and other places) aren’t startup hubs like the Valley is. Recently while visiting Pittsburgh, a friend asked me why it is that Pittsburgh hasn’t made it yet. Paul Graham wrote a great article on this two years ago. My take on the problem calls for a ‘culture of recruitment’, but Mr. Graham goes into much more detail. Worth a read.
